私は日本海、山陰の小さな島 隠岐の島に生まれ、飲み込まれそうな大自然と個性豊かな島の人々に囲まれて育ちました。幼少期から絵を描くことが好きで、島の自然を描いていました。特にサメを描くことが好きでした。昭和の頃の小さな島のことですので大人たちにサメを描くのが得意な少年だと知られていました。その一方でひょんなことから体操にも熱中し出し、推薦で入れたこともあり中京大学の体育学部に進学することになったのです。ところが入学して間もなく鉄棒からの落下事故による大怪我をし、体操が出来なくなってしまいました。そこで幼少期の頃から本質的に好きだった絵を描くことに再び夢中になったのです。元々、絵は常に描いていましたが事故により描く時間が圧倒的に増えたのです。美術館に通い独学で絵を学ぶ日々を送りながら体育大学を卒業し、数年間は小学校の教師をしながら絵をコンクール等に出品し受賞を重ね行ったのですがそうするうちに教師をやりながらではなく、画家としてやって行きたい思いが強まり二十六歳の時に退職し、今日まで絵の道一本でやって来ました。
二十代～三十代にかけては浜辺の小さな蟹やタンポポの綿毛など極小の宇宙の世界を写実的に描いていました。隠岐の放牧されている馬なども描くようになり、人物をモチーフにイマジネーションの世界も描いていました。
のちにアジアの熱帯を旅をしたことで、その自然の造形に魅せられ“熱帯シリーズ”が始まり、パートナーの家族の故郷であるスイスを訪れたことが牧歌的なイメージの風景も作品のシリーズに加わってきたのです。
最近は旅で出会った“うさぎ” “リス” “小鳥” などをモチーフに自分のイマジネーションの世界を描くのを好み、海の風景（岩など）にも再び魅せられています。そんな私のアートをみなさまと共有できたらと願って制作を続けています。
I was Born and brought up in a small island “Okinoshima” in Japan. From childhood I loved drawing the natures of the island and I was quite known to the islander that I used to draw sketches of sharks and fishes.I was also keen about gymnastic as a result I was admitted to the Chukyo university of Physical Education .However fortune did not favor me as I had a severe accident injuring me pelvis bone that I had to give up playing gymnastics. At the time my thoughts return to the pleasure of drawing ,I felt as a child,the beautiful colors of the sea and the sky of my childhood.I focused on pursuing the study of art and painting. Afterwards I had enter exhibitions and competitions while as a primary teacher ,but I felt I wasn’t being true to my dream of becoming a professional artist,so I decided to devote myself as a professional artist when I was twenty-six .
In my twenties and thirties,my output mostly tended towards work of imagination and focus on plants and animals that were close to hand. I drew extremely small things in a realistic way, things such as crabs on the beach and dandelion fluffs , also the horse standing on a cliff by the shore of Okinoshima. I draw many times persons too .
Recently I spends time sketching the nature of a small tropical island in Malaysia that intrigued me of the “Tropical Series”.Subsequently my visit to the hometown of my partner’s family in Switzerland provoked me to the new themes “Swiss Pastoral Series”
Currently I love to create a unique imaginary world on a various motifs ,the rabbits, squirrels, and birds playing in a meadow , the brilliance of the lives with a strong hope for peace.Finally ,it is my sincere wish is to be able to share my art .
